Forty people will be out of jobs at the Columbus Cessna plant.
Doug Oliver, a company spokesperson, says the employees have been told of the layoffs, in general, and will get notices this Friday.
The company announced last week that 1,300 company wide, would be laid off.
Oliver says along with the layoffs, they will shut down the company's second building in the Muscogee Technology Park; that building opened just last year.
Oliver blames the layoffs and closing on the reduction of aircrafts being made during this recession.
