But the group today was there to let the Congressman know they support the President's push for health care reform.

Members from Organizing For America held a rally today to let people know there are plenty of those who support the President's three principles for health insurance reform.

They dropped off a stack of health insurance reform declarations signed by some of Congressman Bishops constituents. The rally was joined by supporters from all over Columbus, including state representative Caroline Hugley.

During the rally, the group tried to clear up misunderstandings they believe people have about the bill. To learn more about the group click here.
"Where are we gonna get the money? We're gonna get the money from people like me. I'd rather pay $300 to the government than 500 to my health insurance company," says Evelyn Roebuck, a supporter of the bill.

Tea party member Sandy Toth says "Yes there are people with pre-existing conditions that have problems with coverage and yes the costs are going up but there are other ways to address this that won't cost the American taxpayer a ton of money and put is in more debt."

The Tea Party of Columbus will hold a rally and march called "Americans For Prosperity". The event will take place September 12th at the Government Center in Columbus. Click here for more information.
