»  Comments | Post a Comment

Phenix City Asst. Police Chief Robert Casteel said that there was a double homicide at Rad Kutz Barber Shop on Seale Road in Phenix City.

The victims, Shedrick Dixon and Keith Weeks, were pronounced dead at about 2:40pm. According to police, one victim was found just outside the barber shop and one was in the doorway. Police believe that the two victims knew each other.

Police suspect there were two shooters, but have not named any suspects yet. Several witnesses have been questioned at the police station, and the list keeps growing, according to Casteel. He said it was a targeted shooting and that he believes there is no public safety threat right now.

Capt. Frank Ivey said that they are looking into a third possible victim. Ivey said two bodies were on scene, but that they cannot confirm or deny that there may have been a third victim in the shooting.
