AAA Pushes For Crackdown On Driving Laws

AAA is hoping the Alabama Senate will get behind two pieces of safety legislation.

House bill 35 would establish a statewide ban on texting and driving, while House bill 65 would strengthen the state’s Graduated Drivers License program, a program some have called the weakest in the country.

The proposal restricts nighttime driving hours and the number of people teens can have in their cars.

Both bills have passed the house and are now in a Senate Committee.
