»  Comments | Post a Comment

Two armed, young men forced their way into a Columbus home at 3051 Morehouse Street and robbed the family inside a little after 2 a.m. Tuesday morning.

One of the homeowners, Tameika Daniels, said that she woke up and found two guns in her face.

"I'm still shooken up a little bit, trying to block some things out," Daniels said.

According to Columbus Police, three children were in the home at the time, ages 5, 10 and 11, but no one was hurt. Investigators said the family's 2008 Chevy Impala was taken and found about an hour later in the Joy Road area.

"That's all I was worried about was my babies," Daniels added. "I asked could I go get them [my children], they told me 'no, just let them stay there.' I did what I was told."

The armed men are described as having slender builds and being in their teenage years, but no distinguishing features were given. If you have information, call Columbus Police at (706) 653-3400.
