Fencing at Baker High School

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Denny Enterprises, a local fencing company, says they got a call from the Muscogee County School District early Friday morning and by lunch time that had a crew out putting together a chain link fence.

Owner of Denny Enterprises, John Denny, says they brought 600 feet of fencing out to Baker. Head of Security for The Muscogee County School District, Sonny Lollar says The Fire Department called them asking for a fence to be put up. Lollar says they hope the fence will keep people from getting hurt.

“Its to protect out students, and our young students and kids out here and our students in the near future from going in there and getting hurt maybe stepping on a mail, maybe falling down between some of the boards and you know getting hurt real serious.”

Lollar says they are keeping the fence up until the building is torn down completely. The fence runs alongside the entire burnt wing. Lollar says they hope the fire line will serve as a buffer from the fence. So on lookers will have to keep their distance from what's left of Baker High School. Lollar says the fence cost The School District about $3,400.
