Bus loads of Columbus Christians from Assembly of God churches will be shipping out Sunday to attend a pro-Israel rally in Washington D.C.
A Christians United For Israel event, this year's focus will be to decry President Barack Obama's declaration to return to Israel's 1967 borders.
"I don't believe that the United States of America or the President of the United States of America ought to be dictating to israel, a sovereign nation state, as to what its boundaries are," said Jay Bailey, pastor of Solid Rock, the church organizing the trip.
Bailey will hop on a plane and join some of his congregants after delivering his Sunday sermon.
"We recognize that one voice that speaks for one purpose carries a lot of weight in Washington D.C.," Bailey said.
Bailey's associate pastor, Derek Johnson, will be on the bus trip.
"I am looking forward to it especially that it's in Washington D.C., that's kind of like a double blessing," Johnson said. "I get to see my capitol."
News 3 caught up with a Columbus Muslim who does not agree that only the Jewish people are God's "chosen people."
"We all are chosen by God," Farhad Alifarhani said. "God wants peace and justice among all of us."
To Bailey, God has a "special dispension" for the Jewish people, a theme he finds consistent from Genesis to Revelation, particuarly with regard to end time prophecy.
During the summit, Solid Rock will be hosting a colonel in the Israeli army who is in charge of security operations for a quadrant of the country.
