COLUMBUS, Ga. --

Post 12110 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars held a ceremony Monday morning, lowering its flags to half staff, in tribute to those who have fought and died for our freedom.

Commander Ed Richards of the Col. Robert B. Net VFW Post says they are also encouraging everyone to pause at 3pm Monday, to remember those who have died while serving in our military.

As you can see from the poster, there's a national campaign that says, "Wherever you are, pause... and remember."
