Auburn To Consider Cable Options

» 2 Comments | Post a Comment

The Auburn City Council is starting talks that may eventually let more cable providers set up shop in the City.

The Council will look at an ordinance to grant Knology of Alabama a cable franchise. Currently the City has a non-exclusive cable franchise with Charter Communications. The meeting starts Tuesday night at 7:00 central in the council chambers.

A public hearing will be required before the Council could vote at later meetings

I am so glad to see that this issue is finally being addressed.  I don’t think I have ever met a fellow Auburn resident that thinks highly of Charter, maybe a little competition will be a good thing for Charter and Auburn as a whole!

Please pass this!!!
