Inside Look at Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch

» 1 Comment | Post a Comment

Neverland Ranch was Michael Jackson’s dream home. It was based on the fictional fantasy island in the story “Peter Pan”. There was an amusement park with merry go rounds and roller coasters and a zoo. CNN’s Ted Rowlands gets an exculsive tour of Neverland Ranch.

Meanwhile, A Los Angeles city councilman is concerned about how the financially-struggling city will pay for police overtime that may be necessary because of a public memorial service for Michael Jackson.

It’s planned for Tuesday morning at the downtown Staples Center, which can hold no more than 20,000 people. Councilman Dennis Zine is envisioning many times that number showing up.  He says with the July Fourth holiday weekend “it’s the worst time” to try to “work something out.“

Hello,
I am writing this because I am truly concerned about the fate of Neverland Ranch. You see I was a local vender on the Central Coast during the hey day of the ranch. I was able to truly see what Michael had built for the many unfortunate children in our world. The theater was spectacular, the zoo amazing and the Train station, and amusement park, was grand. Then there were many other aspects of the entire vast of beautiful property that showed the amount of heart and thought that went in to it, and allowed for many to expand on the world of imagination an escape to another world, of excitement, adventure and amazement. How sad to see this wonderful world that was created by a man who only wanted happiness for those less fortunate. While at the ranch, not only did I get to experience what he had created, but I got to be apart of it. I made the canvas coverings for most of the outdoor equipment, and knowing about the many children who would get the chance to explore this place was a peaceful and comforting thought. So I know I don’t have a really say in what happens to this wonderful place, but in our world today as It is. I would love to see the world he created to continue on for the many that need this wonderful escape. There are many Children in our world today that need a place to escape there life as it is and enjoy a time in the world of Never Never Land.
Sincerely
Bobbie Barnes
