Russell County Man Arrested For Sex Abuse

A Russell county man accused of sexually abusing a young girl is behind bars tonight. 57-year-old Terry Cook from Pittsview was arrested Monday. Cook is charged with rape, sodomy and sexual abuse of a thirteen year old girl. He’s also charged with production of child pornography for allegedly taking obscene pictures of the victim. Investigators say cook was a family friend and that the abuse started in September 2008. A family member notified police. Terry Cooks bond was set at 77-thousand dollars.
