Valley To Host State Swim Meet
Big economic news in Valley, the City will host a state swim meet next year.
Mayor Arnold Leak announced that the City will host the 2010 Alabama Recreation and Parks Association State Swim Meet next July.
He made the announcement at Monday nights City Council meeting.
The Chamber of Commerce estimates the event will draw about 2,000 to 3,000 people and is expected to bring in around $800,000 dollars.
