H1N1 Vaccines Expected Next Week in Georgia

Health districts across Georgia have not yet gotten their injectable version of the H1N1 vaccine. But the Georgia Department of Public Health tells News 3 it should be here next week. We spoke with the state Department of Health and they say that the CDC has allocated 776,500 doses for Georgia. Of those doses, 510,900 are in the injectable form. The rest are the nasal spray. Health Department representatives also tell us that they can not specifically say when the doses will be in hand because that is handled by an independent company, named McKesson. An online tool has been set up to help you find where to go in your area to get the vaccine. You can enter your zip code and find places closest to you that have signed up to administer the vaccine. You’re also advised to first call ahead to make sure the vaccine is in stock.
