Packers Win YIFL Arena Bowl

Columbus, GA - In the second year of the Youth Indoor Football League (YIFL) hosted by the Columbus Lions, they had an epic finish. With the game tied at 7 late in the second half, the South Columbus Raiders scored went ahead 13-7 but missed the extra point. The Northeast Packers drove the 50 yard field, and Keandre Ashley scored on an end around to tie the game at 13, and the Packers made good on their extra point.

The Raiders got the ball back with under a minute to go but fumbled two plays into the drive, the Packers recovered to take the win.

The Columbus Lions host Fayetteville in the first round of the playoffs on Monday, July 6, at 7:30pm. The Lions are looking to load up the Civic Center, so they are offering discount tickets from $10-$30. The $30 tickets go for $60 during the regular season.
