Bibb City Story
Assistant Professor Amanda Rees describes the work of landscape architect Earle Draper to CSU history, geography and theatre students in preparation of “Bibb City: Collected Lives from a Mill Town.” The location is next to one of the community’s largest green spaces, Hemlock Drive Park.

The Bibb City story comes to life in a collaborative effort by Columbus State University and the Chattahoochee Shakespeare Company project.
After two weeks of study they will host a stage dramatization of oral histories of the city in “Bibb City: Collected Lives from a Mill Town.”

Along with the first two shows CSU students have created a 30 minute Bibb City walking tour. Below is a list of times:

There is no admission but donations will be taken up to support the Chattahoochee Shakespeare Company. For more information, call 706-507-8403.
Bibb City once prospered as a mill town but declined in 1998. Two years later the city charter was dissolved and the city became part of Columbus.
