A second fatal fire in as many days claimed the life of an unidentified 49 year old man. Columbus fire officials are investigating the fire on Estes Drive. It happened early this morning. Two others who lived inside the home were able to escape. One of those who escaped had to be treated for smoke inhalation. The other person was uninjured.

Meanwhile, an autopsy is planned for today on the body of a 51 year old man who died Wednesday morning in a house fire. Firefighters responded
at about 6:30 a.m. to the house on Eighth Street. The Muscogee County Coroner pronounced Alfred Henry dead on
the scene about an hour later. The Columbus Fire and EMS says the fire started on a sofa where Henry fell asleep while smoking a cigarette.
