Columbus Officials Network at 2009 Legislative Express
Columbus key figure met up at the Chamber of Commerce Thursday evening for an annual political networking event.
Among the honored guests was Kathy Cox, George State Superintendent of Schools. She addressed the impract Fort Benning’s BRAC would have on education as 6,800 school children will move into the area by 2011.
Cox also commented on the progress of SPLOST in Columbus. Despite the economic downturn, she’s confident that the school district’s projections to collect are solid.
