Columbus Police have arrested three men who they say are responsible for burglaries all across the area.
Charged are 29 year old William Hendry, 29 year old Thomas Price, and 33 year old Keneyetta Adams. Hendry and Price are charged with multiple burglaries. Price is also charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and theft by receiving stolen property. After further investigation, police arrested Adams and charged him with theft by receiving and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. [TAKE: FULLSCREEN]
Police believe that Hendry and Price would knock on the doors at various homes around the Columbus, Harris County, and East Alabama area. If no one answered, police say they would break in and take stuff. No one has been injured in the cases, although at one home a woman was inside. When she threatened to call police, it scared the burglars off. After reviewing surveillance video from a Harris County burglary, police identified the pick up truck and tracked down Hendry. They say he led them to Price and subsequently, to Adams. Police have matched $25,000 dollars worth of property to owners and are working on about $32,000 dollars worth more. Investigators are also expecting more charges from other area agencies.
