CPD Catches Bank Robbery Suspect
Less than 24 hours later, police nab their man.Columbus Police have nabbed the man they say robbed a bank Tuesday afternoon.
Police say the robbery happened around 2:45 p.m. yesterday afternoon at the BB&T on Whitesville Road in Columbus.
John E. Johnston was arrested in Newnan, Georgia, charged with armed robbery. Johnston will appear in recorders court Thursday afternoon at two p.m.
Johnston allegedly walked into the bank, showed a teller a handgun, and demanded money.
