When Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia broke its first North American ground in 2007, Kyungree Yang was one step ahead.

In August of 2007, she opened up West Point’s Korean BBQ Restaurant, now a haven for many of Kia’s Korean employees.

Yang said that business has been good and that it’s nice to have some company.

“She feels like she’s close to home,“ Yang’s translator said. “She says she’s like a mother. Most of our customers get close to her.“
