HUD Grant to Help Neighborworks Columbus

Nearly $4 million in grants will be used to help families in Georgia find affordable housing. The grant is coming from the Department of Housing and Urban Development or HUD. Out of the $3.9 million, $44,000 is coming to the NeighborWorks Columbus program. The idea is to help those facing foreclosure, looking for affordable housing, or trying to buy their first home. It’s part of $60 million in grants nationwide.
