More than 900 Kia Supplier Jobs for Chambers County Alone

Chambers County is looking for a boost from the new Kia plant just across the state line in Georgia. That plant officially kicks off production today in West Point. Chambers County and the surrounding area has suffered heavy losses from the textile industry in recent years. Chambers County recently recorded an unemployment rate of 18.6%, the sixth highest in Alabama. About 900 supplier positions are slated for that county alone.
