A small boy was injured when a black Mercedes SUV crashed into the Glamour Nails Salon near
the intersection of Macon and Miller Roads in Columbus. The boy, Javen Battle, 6, was sitting inside the salon waiting while relatives were serviced when the car came crashing through the window.
“The baby yeah, my co worker tried to get the baby out and yeah and we at that time what I could do I tried to call ambulance and everybody tried to call 911 at the time to try to get the baby out, says Nina Huynh the salon’s owner.
Javen Battle is listed in satisfactory condition at the Medical Center. The driver of the vehicle, Judith Washington, an educator with the Chattahoochee County School System, told authorities she was pulling in to park and hit the gas instead of the brakes. One other person was treated on the scene for minor cuts from shattered glass.
Columbus Police Lieutenant Richard Gains says no charges will be filed. Gains says law prohibits them from making traffic charges on private property.

the educators i know have compassion when a child is hurt, this woman showed no remorse.not at any time did she say she was sorry all she said was “I am not drunk” this small child was in extreme pain and blood covering his body. she did not once say r u ok ? can i do anything for him. she sat there as nothing was wrong. and she is an educator? Who hired her? she gives educators a bad name.
