Auburn residents will soon have another option for cable.

At a meeting Tuesday night, the City Council approved a non-exclusive franchise agreement to let Knology into the city.

The city currently has a similar agreement with Charter Communications. Residents will soon be able to pick between the two.

There is no timeline set for the plan.
