Training for automotive assembly may give applicants an edge in applying for KMMG’s (and its suppliers’) second wave of hiring. Columbus Technical College started an automotive assembly technician certificate program in January 2007. Other technical schools, like several branches of West Central Technical College, offer automotive technician programs, which centers more around working at dealerships and independent shops.
Those interested in applying may do so at the Georgia Department of Labor’s Web site.
