One Protestor Remains in Jail After Arrests During...
Four people were arrested after officials say they crossed the boundary onto Fort Benning.Four protestors were arrested after officials say they crossed military lines on to Fort Benning. Three are out on bail this morning while one remains in custody. Some say this could be the last year the protest is at the gates of Fort Benning.
there has been talk of moving the event to Washington D.C. Peter Cleich is with a
catholic high school from St. Paul, Minnesota he says he would like
to see the event stay in Columbus, but the move to Washington is understandable.
Gleich says his high school has been bringing students to the SOA Watch for the past 15 years and that it helps them to become more engaged in world causes. As for the four protestors arrested, they will face trial in January of 2010.
