A pedestrian has been taken to the hospital after being struck by a police car this morning. The accident happened around 2:30 at the intersection of 6th Avenue and 15th Street in Columbus. That’s just north and west of the 13th Street bridge. Police confirm that an on duty police officer was driving when he hit at least one pedestrian with his cruiser. Two pedestrians were at the scene of the accident, but police did not know if the second person was also injured by the police car. Authorities are not sure of the extent of the person’s injuries at this hour. We’ll have more on this accident later today on News 3 Evening Edition.
