Registe Extradition Update

We will soon know if accused Columbus murderer Michael Registe will be extradited back to U.S soil.

Registe has been behind bars on the Caribbean Island of St. Maarten; but today the Supreme Court of the Netherlands approved his extradition.

Now it is in the hands the Governor of the Netherlands he will make the final decision on the extradition. Should the Governor allow it U.S law enforcement would be notified and Registe would be brought back to the states.

Chief Prosecutor Taco Stein says he does not expect the decision to take long.

Registe is accused of killing Bryan Kilgore and Randy Newton, both Hardaway High School Graduates, outside a South Columbus Apartment Complex in 2007.
