Rresidents in Fredonia, Alabama, are celebrating their first Heritage Day tomorrow. Fredonia is located twelve miles north of Lanett in Chambers County. You may recall that the small town has been the scene of a controversy over their town charter being dissolved. Residents are still fighting to get their charter back in a court battle that is still going on. The first ever Heritage Day Celebration is going to be held tomorrow from 9 - 5 Eastern time at the Fredonia Community Club House. Area artisans will sell their wares and groups will be performing. You’ll find traditional breakfast and BBQ throughout the day, which will end with a drawing for a handcrafted quilt made by ladies of the town.
