SOA Protest Starts This Weekend in Columbus

Thousands of people are expected in Columbus this weekend for the annual SOA watch protest at the gates of Fort Benning off Victory Drive.
The School of the Americas renamed the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation in 2001 trains soldiers from all over
the Western Hemisphere, but the SOA watch group claims that graduates of the school are guilty of human rights violations and they want
it closed. There has been talk of moving the event to Washington D.C., but nothing has been finalized.
