Macon Road Now Open

Traffic is now running smoothly on Macon Road near Highway Eighty onto Fulton Road. This morning two tractor trailer accidents caused a major detour for some folks headed in to work in Columbus.
The first accident happened yesterday afternoon on Macon Road when an eighteen wheeler veered out of traffic and flipped over. No one was seriously injured, but crews were still cleaning up that scene and directing traffic when another tractor trailer missed the detour and swerved, flipping over and skidding down Macon Road. The top of that trailer hit the tail end of a patrol car. The officers were not hurt and the driver had only minor injuries.
