41 golden appleMrs. Bauer teaches fourth grade at Richland Elementary School which is in its first year of operation. Although she’s only been in the teaching profession two years, Bauer says she knows teaching is her calling. “One reason that I teach is because I absolutely love children and I know that they can do anything you ask them to do with some guidance,“ she says. Sadarius Howard is one of her students. In describing Mrs. Bauer he says she’s fun and has a smile on her face every day. Another student, Anna Lee Isbell, adds Mrs. Bauer can turn something boring into something really fun. Bauer feels she’s teaching in the perfect grade level. She says, “It’s a great grade because they’re not too old and they still love their teacher a lot.“ When learning of her selection as the Golden Apple recipient, Bauer commented, “It means so much that a student took the time to write about their teacher and that they wanted to put me up for this award. It means the world to me.“

This is very nice but my daughter Annemarie Richardson is the one that submitted Mrs Bauer for the Golden Apple and she wasnt even mention nowhere about it .....
Thanks to your station and Mr. Scoggins for the wonderful interview with my GrandDaughter, Abby Watts Bauer and her 4th grade class. She is a very special young lady and those children are so fortunate to have her as a teacher. Thank you so much.
