National Infantry Museum Graduation

The soldiers that graduated not only had their graduation to celebrate but they also graduated on an historic day at Fort Benning.

The C Company 2nd Battalion 19th Infantry Regiment was the first class to graduate right before the Infantry Museum’s grand opening.

A soldier we spoke with is the second person out of his family to join the army. He says his graduation is something that will always stick in his mind.

“It’s really a rare occasion, you know, we’ve got a couple of generals, a lot of generals here, Colonels, and high ranking infantrymen, it’s a great day to be an infantryman,“ says Nicholas Seigle.

Seigle’s father was at the ceremony and he says he’s happy he witnessed the graduation.
“Great emotions, this is my second son to join the army and I’m just real proud of both my sons and I’m proud of all the soldiers,“ says Patrick Seigle.

The soldiers will go on to serve their country, some of them hoping to make their mark in the infantry museum.
