With news of rising foreclosure, a slowing ecomony, and rumors of a possible recession how is our local ecomony doing, more specifically the workforce.

Thats what one viewer is asking in todays tough question.

They ask what plans are being made to strengthen the job market here locally.

According to the Columbus unemployment office Columbus and Russell county are seeing fairly low rates of unemployment at 5.1 percent. We spoke with executive vice president of education and workforce development human resources janeen tucker and she says our work force is healthy.

The national unemployment rate is 4.4.
