Alabama Issues Amber Alert for Missing Girl

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Authorities in Alabama have issued an
Amber Alert for a missing girl.
    The Department of Public Safety issued the alert Monday for
Makayla Briana Coleman who was last seen in Sheffield on Saturday
at approximately 7 p.m.
    Police believe the girl, a black female, was abducted.
    DPS said in a statement Makayla was with Kimberly Nicole Thomas
who is wanted for questioning in an assault case.
    Thomas was last seen driving a Purple Dodge Stratus with unknown
Alabama license plates and was possibly traveling to Nashville or
Atlanta.
