Auburn Puts Start In Perspective

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - The Auburn Tigers insist they’re keeping their fast start in perspective.

The Tigers are 3-0 and have proven capable of winning a shootout, rallying from deficits and forcing turnovers.

They also know that road trips to Tennessee and Arkansas await after Saturday’s visit from winless Ball State.

Tailback Ben Tate said it’s too early in the season to get carried away.

Coach Gene Chizik certainly agrees, and says there are too many areas needing fixing to let overconfidence seep in.

However, Auburn has come from behind in all three wins and scored touchdowns in all but one quarter this season.

The Tigers also rank second nationally in turnover margin and tied for second with eight interceptions. The offense ranks among the nation’s top 11 in rushing, total yards and scoring.
