Auburn, AL - Auburn defensive end, Antonio Coleman is a quick study. He has already graduated and is getting a second degree in the classroom. But when the NFL rang his door bell last year, he did not answer, he said the Auburn football family needed him one more year. He said after that choice was made to return he has not looked back.

“I’m pumped about playing, we want to go out and have fun,“ Coleman Said.

Knowin that the NFL is in his future, he is not worried about protecting the investment. “I don’t think about injuries when I am on the field, I go out there and throw my body around and have fun, the injuries will come and go, but with the lords blessing I will stay healthy the whole season,“  he said.

Despite a roster loaded with youth, Coleman does not see it as a rebuilding year. “The young guys are gonna have to play, and they have impressed me, and I think they can help us this year,“ Coleman said. “My job is to tell them to remain calm and do their jobs, and if they stay in the right place they will make plays. Most of the young guys look up to me, I’m a hard worker, and go out and show them how it is supposed to be done. Those young guys come to me for advice, but I think if they are playing, they can have a great season.“

But Coleman is on the clock. “It’s one less game for me at jordan-hare stadium, and I want to have some fun. I am comfortable with the coaches and I want to go out there and show them that this is the Auburn way, and we are back to that mentality.“
