ATHENS, Ga. (AP) - Caleb King and Washaun Ealey are providing a late-season boost to a Georgia rushing attack that still ranks near the bottom of the Southeastern Conference.
Georgia has struggled to replace 2008 star running back Knowshon Moreno, a first-round draft pick by Denver this year.
Coach Mark Richt has settled on King, a sophomore, and Ealey, a freshman, at tailback as the Bulldogs prepare to play Kentucky on Saturday night.
The Bulldogs have averaged about 192 yards rushing in their last four games after averaging about 97 yards rushing in their first six games.
Georgia still ranks only 11th in the SEC in rushing. It hasn’t finished a season so low since ranking last in both 1993 and 1994.
