Mabel is a four year old domestic shorthair tabby cat. Mabel’s family abandoned her at her veterinary clinic. She is a quiet, peaceful cat who enjoys affection but also enjoys her time alone. She is a pretty cat with a sweet expression. Mabel is spayed, current on vaccinations, FeLV/FIV negative and micro-chipped. Mabel’s adoption fee is $79.

PAWS Pet of the Week

Henry is a five year old apricot Poodle who was recently abandoned at the shelter. Henry is super friendly and affectionate and will make a wonderful lap dog. Henry has some cataracts which affect his vision but he compensates with his hearing which is super sharp. Henry has lots of love to give and is looking for that special person. He runs up to his kennel door happily to greet visitors. He has been groomed and is ready for a new home. He is neutered, current on vaccinations, heartworm negative and micro-chipped. His adoption fee is $200.

News 3’s Kevin Roble spent the summer building new digs for the family dog, Lucky. Kevin describes his dog as spoiled. Lucky can be seen most mornings coming out of his new home and looking for the expected treats. He’s the “lucky” owner of this new house. Does your furry friend have a fabulous home? Dogs Competing in Annual Match This Weekend

Location: 7300 Whittlesey Blvd, Columbus GA 31909
North Highland Assembly of God

Time: Registration 9 AM to 11 AM EDT; Junior Showmanship Competiton at 11:30 am. Regular Judging starts at 12 Noon or at the conclusion of Junior Showmanship.

Match Fees: $6 pre-entry, $3 for any additional entry of SAME dog in another event
  $8 day of match for first entry and $3 additional entry.  Juniors Competition: Free if dog is entered in another regular event, otherwise $6 for Jr. competition only.


Canine Good Citizen Test: $10 pre-entry; $15 day of match

Pre-Registration: Due by Friday, October 30, 2009.  Send pre-entries to:

Mr. Hobbs is a five year old Bengal Cat. He is looking for a home in which he can be the king. He loves quiet, calm attention and is very affectionate.  He is totally de-clawed and will need to be in an indoor only, pet free home for his safety. His lovely markings and the gentle, affectionate nature of a Bengal make him desired among cat lovers.  He is neutered, current on vaccinations, FeLV/FIV negative and micro-chipped. We are currently holding a silent auction for Mr. Hobbs adoption fee. Please call or visit the shelter if interested. 

Tinker is a unique looking wire-haired Terrier/Beagle mix. She is three years old. Tinker is a very gentle, good-natured girl. She is great with other dogs and loves people and children. She is also housebroken and very well behaved. Tinker would perfect for almost any household. She is spayed, current on vaccinations, heartworm negative and micro-chipped. Her adoption fee is $200.
