If Pepper Could Talk

Pepper and I will celebrate our 4th anniversary on May 13. He’s an 11 pound black and white Pomeranian mix with one white paw. Pepper can at times be the sweetest little dog on earth. But when he’s around other pets, he can be quite the little monster!
Pepper was a birthday gift from my co-anchor, Phil Scoggins and his wife Judy. He was a rescue. Apparently someone had him and lost him. Their loss is my gain!
I’ve often wondered what he would say if he could speak. After almost four years of living with the Pepster, here’s what I think he would say:
“But if I’m outside, how would I watch tv?”
“Where would I spread the comforter?”
“Can we go to Zaxby’s for that really great Blackened Blu Zalad?”
“Why is that dog walking on my street?”
“He’d better not get in my face!”
“When are you going to get it mommy. I DON’T LIKE OTHER DOGS!”
“But wait, she’s cute. I won’t play with her, but I won’t snap at her either.”
“Can we walk over there where there are people so that someone can rub my belly?”
“The raincoat again? Really. If you want me to go outside in the rain, you’re going to have to catch me.”
“No thanks. I’ll sleep on the couch. See you in the morning.”
“Are you ever going to wake up and take me outside?”
“No, don’t leave me out here in the backyard alone. Then fine, I won’t tinkle!”
“Ok, this is my space. That’s your space. ”
“Oh no you are not going to come over here and try to take me outside when I’m trying to nap!”
“She has her purse. I’ll just sit here patiently until she decides if I can go with her. I can sit for hours!”
