Lee County Humane Society Pet of the Week

LCHS Pet of the Week: “Horton” is a young, orange, Maine Coon mix who’s friendly and curious.  As a rare breed to LCHS, “Horton” is definitely more to love and in need of just the right home.  Visit “Horton” and his feline friends Tuesday-Sunday from 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. at the shelter.

PAWS Using Grant Money to Spay and Neuter Pit Bulls

This morning while cohosting on Sunny 100 with Ed Bostic, I found out about a pit bull spay/neuter program. PAWS Humane has received a grant to pay for the program, which means petowners can take advantage and have their pit bull spayed or neutered at no cost. A PAWS representative tells me that the funding is beginning to run low, so if you want to take part, you should go ahead and call. Their number is (706) 565-0035.
