Money and Pets

As many of us struggle with money in this tough economy buying a pet for some has been put on hold, others have been forced to give their furry friends up, and some are skipping out on vet visits and cutting corners but having a dog does not have to be expensive.
You should never skip out on a vet visit, just like your health preventative care is always cheaper than waiting until the condition worsens. The place to cut back is on toys and grooming.
Mo maybe has two or three toys that I have bought him others are safe toys I have been given like his stuff teddy bear he loves! Most of the times we just go outside and he does his own thing.
He loves digging in the dirt …
And eating sticks…
It’s cheap, safe, and keeps him happy!
Another idea to keep your puppy happy while saving money buy a can of low sodium chicken broth and freeze it into little ice cubes - there nice cool treats for the hot summer days that are soon to come. Mo loves these.
You can also make your own treats. Here is a link for recipes.
Another ways to save money do your own grooming. I give Mo baths and clean his ears. I took him to get his ears cleaned once and it was 25 bucks so that was the first and last time we did that.
