UPDATE: Decorated Stray Adopted

UPDATE: Trix, the stray Chihuahua, was adopted this morning shortly after 10.

Okay, first, I want to say- I do not have a dog. For anyone who has read my one and only previous pet blog post, I used to show pigs and sheep, a far cry from cuddly domesticated animals. I have no beef with them, I am just not as in tune with dogs and cats. But…….. today I must admit was a giant step forward! It was my first animal shelter experience. How I avoided it during my 18 months at News 3 I know not? But the animals inside the Columbus Animal Care and Control Center will make you want to pay the pet deposit for your apartment right now.  They had beautiful dogs and cats, all with the biggest eyes you have ever seen. It sounds cheesy but I couldn’t help but wonder what kind of story each of those animals had to tell. Unfortunately, I don’t speak bark or meow.

Our story was about a precious Chihuahua, but there are many many other animals that need homes. You can see one of them right here on the blog.
