Mo, my dog, never goes to the groomers I stick him in the sink for a bath, clean his ears, and do everything to keep him fresh and clean but if there was a program like Correctional Ladies Improving Pets, or CLIP, here I just might consider it.
It’s a dog-grooming training program at the Decatur Correctional Center in Illinois. Prison officials say few of the inmates who receive the training have returned to prison. Former inmate Katrina Williamson says CLIP changed her life. She found a job grooming dogs right after being released.
Now, the program is looking for a new teacher. The woman who has done it since 2002 is stepping down.
It’s a really interesting and successful program check out this article to find out more.
