It was a good night for local little league teams at state tournaments.

In the 10/11 division the Northern team bounced back after an opening loss by beating Franklin County 16-4. Northern is now 1-1 in pool play and faces Cartersville in a crucial game Tuesday at 6 pm in Warner Robins.

American meanwhile continues to dominate the Minors (9/10) state tournament at Toccoa. They routed Cartersville 10-2 on Monday to reach 3-0 in pool play. American gets Tuesday off before finishing the pool on Wednesday with Peachtree City American.
